Living With ARFID – #2 (‘Safe Foods’)

Hi everybody,

Z here again. Today, I decided I’d share what I am currently capable of eating. It really is quite an eye opener to see how many healthier and more nutritious options I have but cannot bear to eat.

By posting this list, I hope I can inspire you to also write out a list of what you’re able to eat, and what not. Keep that list with you at all times. Circle/star things that you are most interesting in trying. Put it on your phones’ notepad. Anything! Just be sure to keep it with you, and while eating/choosing what to eat, refer to it, and consider trying something new! Be aware, though, to not force anything. Only try foods when you’re ready, and your body is ready. That really is crucial.

Safe Foods

  • Pepperoni Pizza
  • Chicken Tenders
  • French Fries
  • Baked Ham (None of that presliced stuff..)
  • Pulled Pork (Yes, specifically, it must be Pulled)
  • Eggo Waffles
  • Buttermilk Pancakes
  • Baked/Regular Lays
  • Tortilla Chips + Salsa
  • Corn
  • Corn Muffins
  • Potato Chips

‘Bad’ Foods

  • Any loafed bread
  • Spaghetti
  • Red Meat
  • Grilled Chicken
  • Potatoes (Besides French Fries/Chips)
  • Any Fruit
  • Any Vegetable (Besides corn)
  • Any Salad
  • Any type of Potato Chip that is not the ‘Original’ version
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Mexican Food (Besides Tortilla Chips + Salsa)

I really only included the ‘Bad’ Foods list for personal reference. Those are the foods I hope to be able to at least try within the next 8 months.
